I even get to wear this cool cape.

Hey, I thought I’d open this question up to the general public. If someone can answer this for me, I can almost guarantee that my next computer will be an Apple:

How can one copy the path to a file from within the file system?

In Windows Explorer, I have this handy Address Bar, from which I can copy-n-paste addresses like C:Documents and SettingsOwnerMy DocumentsMy Picturesaim icons for easy sharing with co-workers and whatnot (generic address used so as to avoid using real business examples). In the Mac OS, though, the best I can do is try Apple-C on a filename and hope that the path gets pasted into whatever window I’m pasting. Works very rarely.

You’re probably wondering, “why are you sharing so many file paths at work? Why don’t your co-workers just use Spotlight or something?” You’ll have to take my word that this isn’t an option.

Does anybody out there know how I can mimic the Windows Explorer functionality in OS X? Maybe there’s a third-party file explorer that I could be using? Maybe there’s an undocumented trick with the Finder? This is a really simple thing that a company like Apple should have thought of by now. Help?
