Edgar wants more sugar in his water
Now that I’ve got a laptop as my primary computer, I am noticing new ways in which my life could be made easier.
I want location-based configuration of things.
Let’s say I connect to two primary Wireless Access Points, one at work and one at home, and their names never change. When I’m connected to “Work,” I want my computer to modify its security settings to require a password to wake from the screen saver. I also want the screen saver to kick in after five minutes.
When connected to “Home,” though, let’s remove that security setting and bump up the screen saver activating to something like half an hour.
These are just a couple of examples, but does anybody know of an application / plugin / applescript scenario that could enable this kind of automation?
