I’m thinking of redecorating our house.
What I want to do is take all of the items in the house that aren’t furniture and throw them randomly1 on the floor. This seems to be where everything wants to go, anyway. I walk through a room and miscellaneous objects (primarily silverware, but anything will do: envelopes, picture frames, ice cream cones, etc.) will just jump up and fall down off their presumably precarious perch.
Then I’m going to take a video of it and send it to Extreme Makeover: Home Edition. But not as a request for help. I’m going to apply to be one of their designers. Hip new design style: entropy.
- I’d consider artfully arranging them on the floor, a la Pink Floyd’s The Wall but the animals wouldn’t let that lie, I’m sure.
